
Christian Fellowship’s Lady Eagles played in Community Christian’s 1st Lady Warrior Shootout Thursday through Saturday. The Lady Eagles dropped their first game 65-46 to St. Mary but rebounded nicely winning both games in the consolation round, 54-29 over Joppa-Maple Grove (IL) and 50-35 over Community Christian.
In their only loss of the tournament to St. Mary, the Lady Eagles struggled offensively in the first quarter, scoring one point on a free throw by Maddie Irvan and trailed 15-1 at the end of the quarter. Scoring picked up for CFS in the second quarter, led by Rachel Howard with six points and Lillian Burnett with four to trail 31-16 at halftime.

Burnett led in the third quarter with six points, five from Gracie Howard and four by Irvan to pull to within 14 of St. Mary. St. Mary out-scored the Lady Eagles 20-15 in the fourth quarter to win 65-46.

The Lady Eagles played host CCA in their final game on Saturday, beating the Lady Warriors 50-35 behind 16 points by Rachel Howard and 10 points from Burnett.
