Eagles play in Murray Bank Tipoff

Christian Fellowship’s Eagles played three games in the Murray Bank Tipoff, losing all three to Fulton County 82-55, Calloway County 70-29 and Livingston Central 59-43. At 2-13 for the season, the Eagles hope to turn things around when they play Fulton City (2-10) at home on Jan. 5.

Against Fulton County, the Eagles led by three points after the first quarter but a big 25-point second quarter for Fulton County who held CFS to five points gave them a 38-21 lead at halftime and they went on to win by 27 points. Drew Cary led CFS with 17 points, Kahari Miller led Fulton County with 18 points.

CFS fell to Calloway County, 70-29, in their second game of the Tip-off. The Eagles were in reach at the end of the first quarter, down by five points, but were held to six points in the second quarter and trailed 30-13 at halftime. The Lakers out-scored the Eagles 40-16 in the second half. Mikey Bivin led CFS with seven points.

In their third game Saturday, CFS fell 59-43 to Livingston Central. A slow start offensively found the Eagles trailing 18-3 at the end of the first quarter, a deficit that could not overcome the remainder of the game. Bivin led CFS for the second straight game in scoring with eight points.
