On Wednesday 12/26/2018 around 9:45 A.M. Sgt. Treadway responded to a vehicle collision with injuries involving a semi tractor trailer and a Fed Ex truck on US Hwy 641 at Mayfield Hwy.
Few details are being released at this time due to the ongoing investigation. The intersection was closed for about 2 hours. The semi was going north on US Hwy 641 and was driven by Mr. Surinder Singh ( California). The Fed Ex van was driven by Mr. Tyler Swoope ( Benton). Mr. Swoope was transported to Marshall County Hospital and shortly after transported to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, In by Air Evac. Neither Mr. Singh or his passenger were injured.
The collision remains under investigation by Sgt. Treadway. Benton Police was assisted by Marshall County S.O., Marshall Co. EMS, Air Evac, Benton Fire Department, KSP Commercial Veh. Enforcement, Green’s wrecker, and others.
