
Tennessee Prep, TN and Our Saviour Lutheran, NY tipped off in the first game of Friday’s second session of the Marshall County Hoopfest. Our Saviour Lutheran won 81-78 behind 23 points from senior guard Dashawn Davis, game MVP, who is entertaining offers from St. John’s, Seton Hall and Old Dominion. Posh Alexander, who is considering offers from Dayton, Illinois and Penn State, added 10 points in the win.
Tennessee Prep was led by senior Damion Baugh with 26 points. Baugh is looking at offers from Florida, Texas and Eastern Kentucky. Darrell Belcher added 24 points for Tennessee Prep.

University Heights beat Callaway, MS 81-78 in game two Friday, one that went down to the wire. UHA’s KyKy Tandy scored 31 points to led the Blazers. Tandy, awarded Most Valuable Player, has committed to Xavier University. Drew McGowan, a 2019 baseball commit to Mississippi State added 21 points. Daeshun Ruffin led Callaway with 20 points. Ruffin holds several offers currently that include Auburn and Ole Miss.

Ohio State bound E.J. Liddell led the Belleville West, IL team with 42 points and 16 rebounds in their 77-60 win over Madisonville-North Hopkins. Will Shumpert, also a talented football player for Belleville, added 10 points. Madisonville was led by K’suan Casey with 15 points and 14 from Keshawn Stone. Liddell was named Most Valuable Player.

Friday’s final game featured Aspire Academy, KY and Prolific Prep, CA. Two top-ranked juniors led Prolific Prep in their 70-65 win. Nimari Burnett led with 27 points, earning MVP honors, and Zach Harvey added 11 points. Burnett has offers from Indiana, Arizona and Texas A&M while Harvey has offers from Louisville, Kansas and Oregon. Aspire Academy was led by senior point guard Caleb Fields with 24 points. Fields has committed to play at Arkansas State.
