Rev. Barry Roberts, 67, of Paducah, passed away at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at his residence. He was a native of Paducah. Barry was a graduate of Memphis Theological Seminary where he received his Master’s of Divinity Degree. He served several local United Methodist Churches including, Owens Chapel United Methodist Church, Lovelaceville United Methodist Church, Wingo United Methodist Church, Sedalia United Methodist Church, Burnett’s Chapel United Methodist Church and Arcadia United Methodist Church until his retirement. Barry was active in the Purchase Area Walk to Emmaus, Kairos Prison Ministry and was an avid University of Kentucky Basketball fan.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Ruth Montgomery Roberts; daughters, Beth Vinson and husband, Harley of Paducah and Kate Morse and husband, Wade of Paducah; son, Eric Roberts and wife, Brandy of Paducah; nine grandchildren, Annissa Roberts, Ethan Roberts, Caroline Roberts, Chase Cursey and wife, Chelsea, Paige Cursey, Kaylee Cursey, Tessa Vinson, Etta Grace Morse and Adaline Morse; two great grandchildren, Brylee Cursey and Benjamine Cursey; brother, Carey Roberts and wife, Vanessa of Paducah and several nieces and nephews.

Barry was preceded in death by two brothers, Larry Roberts and Gary Roberts. His parents were Firn Roberts and Glenda Smith Roberts.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 21, 2018 at Arcadia United Methodist Church with Joe Neely officiating.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 20, 2018 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah and after 10:00 a.m. Friday at Arcadia United Methodist Church.
