Hickory, KY (September 3, 2018) – The Kentucky State Police was notified of a two vehicle collision with injuries at US 45 and KY 408 at approximately 09:53 a.m. Preliminary investigation shows Ahmed Al-Aboudy, 28 of Dearborn, MI. traveling north on US 45 in the right lane. Al-Aboudy was operating a 2007 Volvo semi-tractor trailer loaded with processed chickens. Shermone S. Knox, 33 of Clinton, KY., was traveling north on US 45 in the left lane in a 2008 Saturn. Al-Aboudy failed to stop in time and rear ended Knox. Knox went into the median turn lane, Al-Aboudy traveled through the intersection and overturned off the right side of the roadway, spilling its load on the ground. Knox was transported by EMS to a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the collision. Knox was arrested for DUI 1st, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was lodged in the Graves County jail.
