James “Hacksaw” Sauerwin, 76, of Paducah, passed away at 5:27 am on Friday, August 31, 2018 at Lourdes Hospital.
James was a member of Schneidman Road Baptist Church and a member of Teamsters Local #236.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Patsy Beyer Sauerwin; son, Art Sauerwin and wife, Sheila of West Paducah; sister, Elizabeth Augustus of Paducah; two grandchildren, Matt Kissiar and Brent Johnson; six great grandchildren, McKinsey, Chase, and Leland Johnson, and Logan,… Hali, and Ali Kissiar; several nieces and nephews and his best friend who was more like a brother, Robert Robertson.
He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Sauerwin; mother, Loretta Gaylord Allen, stepfather, Thomas Allen; sister, Martha Fasolo, and brother, Andrew Sauerwin.
Funeral services for James will be 11:00 am on Wednesday, September, 5, 2018 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Mike Moynahan officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Kenton Cemetery.
Visitation for James will be from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at the funeral home.
