Lady Marshals second in Scott County Invitational

The Lady Marshals traveled to Lexington Monday to play in the Scott County Lady Cardinal Invitational and came away with a second place finish behind Scott County who took the win. They were led by Hallie Riley with a 2-over par 75, Savannah Howell 80, Megan Hertter 85, Kenley Luksic 86 and Sydney Phillips 102.

The team will play their first home match against Graves County Thursday at the Kentucky Dam State Park course, then compete on Saturday at Paxton Park in the Paducah Tilghman Tournament.

While the girls were in Lexington, the Marshals hosted a JV golf match (9 holes) on Monday afternoon at Calvert City Country Club against Livingston Central.

The Marshals “Blue” team were victorious by shooting a team score of 175 followed by Marshals “Orange” 206 and Livingston Central’s 214. Livingston Central’s Darit Barnes was the medalist by shooting 39.

NMMS 8th grader Trey Wall led the Marshals by shooting a 42 (6 over par).
