On Friday July 27, Captain Stephen Sanderson responded to Walmart in reference to a female passed out in the bathroom. After a brief investigation, Captain Sanderson arrested Shanrah Evans, 47, of Benton. Evans was charged with Public Intoxication and also Theft By Unlawful Taking (shoplifting). Evans was lodged in the Marshall County Detention Center. Captain Sanderson was assisted on scene by Officer Caleb Curtner.
On 07/27/2018 at approx. 10:15 PM, Officer Ryan Moore responded to the basketball court at H.H. Lovett Park, in reference to individuals standing on top of the basketball goals. As as result of the investigation, drugs were found. Jordan E. Tripp, 21, of Benton, was charged with Possession of Marijuana. A juvenile was also charged with Possession of Marijuana. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
On 07/27/2018, Officer Ryan Moore received information about a violation of a emergency protection order. As a result of the investigation, Shanrah D. Evans, 48, of Benton, was charged with Violation of a KY EPO/DVO. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
