Katy Ruth Cathey, age 84, of Benton, KY, died Saturday, July 28, 2018, at Lake Way Nursing & Rehabilitation in Benton, KY. Ms. Cathey was a homemaker.
She was the daughter of the late Horace Spencer Cathey and the late Beatrice (Nanney) Cathey.
She was preceded in death by five brothers: Rob Earl Cathey, Samuel Cathey, Charles Ed Cathey, Redge Cathey, and Gillard Cathey; and three sisters: Exie Mae Cathey, Eva Cathey, and Ruby Nell Finch.
Arrangements are being handled by Collier Funeral Home, Benton, KY where the family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM, Tuesday, July 31, 2018. Graveside funeral service will be at Barnett Cemetery at 1:30 PM, Tuesday, July 31, 2018, with Rev. Todd Dotson officiating. Interment will be at Barnett Cemetery, Hardin, KY.
