“It was a good start to our 2018 season”, Head Coach Keith Bell said. “I know and our players know that we have better scores within our team. We felt like we were capable of winning this tournament this year. I think nerves had an impact with some of the players and that comes at no surprise early in the season. I thought we putted well as a team in this tournament and we’ll continue to work on our short game and putting throughout the season.”
Coach Bell said Nimmo played great especially considering he had played competitive rounds of golf the past six days coming into this event and is looking forward to a couple of days of rest and then back at it on Monday morning in Owensboro. The Marshals will play in the Owensboro Catholic Invitational at Owensboro Country Club.
They will follow the Owensboro tournament up with a tournament on Tuesday in Bowling Green at the Gator Invitational Tournament then play a third straight day on Wednesday at the Kentucky Cup at the University Club of Kentucky in Lexington.
