Mrs. 
of Hardin, KY passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2018, at her home. She was a member of Briensburg Baptist Church and was retired from the KY Parks Department where she worked as a housekeeper.
Born Thursday, February 16, 1928 in Marshall County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Java Elmore Henson and the late Mary Polly (Castleman) Henson.
Surviving are her daughter, Phyllis Johnson, husband Larry of Hardin, KY, son, Phillip Bowerman of Hardin, KY, 2 grandchildren, Tammy Gresham, husband Todd of Hardin, KY, Timothy Johnson, wife Amber of New Concord, KY and 3 great-grandchildren Peyton Gresham, Skylar Johnson and Tori Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Edward Lee Bowerman, and 6 brothers, Doyle Henson, Clinton Henson, Cecil Henson, Joe Henson, Leamon Henson, Melburn Henson.
A Funeral service will be held at 2:30 PM on Friday, June 22, 2018 at Collier Funeral Chapel located at 211 West 5th St. Benton, KY 42025 with Rev. C.C. Brasher and Rev. Bob Sewell officiating.
Interment will follow in Marshall Co. Memory Gardens, Benton, KY.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, June 21, 2018, at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th, Benton, KY.
