Mr. Nolan Leroy Alderman, age 70 of Aurora, KY passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Thursday, May 24, 2018, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He was the owner/operator of Lakeland Service Station in Aurora for 13 years and was an automotive mechanic. He was a 14 year member of Local 1179 of International Union of
Painters and Allied Trades, Topeka, KS. He attended Oakland United Methodist Church and was a US Army Veteran and honorably served during Vietnam.
Born Wednesday, September 10, 1947 in Independence, MO, he was the son of the late Leroy Joe Alderman and the late Helen Jeanette (Sampson) Alderman.
Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Linda Mae (Smith) Alderman of Aurora, KY, son, Chad Nolan Alderman, wife Selena of Aurora, KY, daughter, Kimberly Marie Morrison, husband Shane of Aurora, KY, brother, Rodney Lee Alderman (Jeanie Anderson) of Nixa, MO; 3 grandchildren, Matthew Morrison of Aurora, KY, Ciarra Alderman and Makayla Alderman of Aurora, KY, a niece and nephew, 4 great nieces and nephews, and faithful companions, Bella and Sunny.
He was preceded in death by his parents and step-father, Paul E. Bush.
A Funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM on Sunday, May 27, 2018 at Collier Funeral Chapel located at 211 West 5th St. Benton, KY 42025 with Rev. David Garrett and Rev. Richard Burkeen officiating.
Visitation will be held between the hours of 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 27, 2018 at Collier Funeral Home.
Inurnment will be held at a later date in the Union Ridge Cemetery.
