Suspect in thefts from vehicles sought

UPDATE- On 05/22/2018, Jeon Quarles turned himself in at the McCracken County Sheriff’s Department as a result of the media and social media coverage. Quarles was interviewed by Detectives and arrested on the outstanding warrant. Additional arrests and charges may be pending.

The McCracken County Sheriff’s Department is requesting the public’s assistance in locating 20 year old Jeon Zhyrei Quarles of Paduah. Quarles is wanted in connection to multiple thefts from vehicles.

On May 15, 2018 McCracken County Sheriff’s deputies began fielding multiple reports of items being stolen from vehicles during the previous overnight hours from residents in the Reidland area. Detectives immediately began investigating and were able to identify a vehicle involved in the thefts from surveillance footage captured by residents in the area. With the assistance of Paducah Police Department, the vehicle in question was located along with the occupants identified. Detectives also found that Quarles had sold items matching what was stolen from vehicles to multiple local pawn shops.

Detectives have been unable to locate Quarles and are now asking for the public’s assistance in locating him.

Aside from Quarles being identified as participating in the thefts, two McCracken County juveniles were also identified and charged with TBUT- From Auto O/$500
