
Christian Fellowship has played three of five straight games this week following a break from action over spring break. Tuesday they opened play in the All “A” Tournament with a win over St. Mary 14-4 then fell to Carlisle County 7-4 in the second round on Wednesday. They followed the tournament up with a loss to Paducah Tilghman Thursday 13-1 and will finish out the week Friday at Fulton County and Saturday at Mayfield.

In their 5-inning win over St. Mary, CFS trailed by two runs heading into their first at bat in the first inning and took the lead on three runs scored on a single by Jaycie Jackson, error and steal of home plate by Abigail Cima.
A big 6-run third inning for the Lady Eagles started on a single by Edie Little, 2-run single by Jackson and single by Cima to go up 9-2. CFS scored two more runs in the fourth inning on a double by Shields and single by Jackson to lead 11-2.
St. Mary scored two runs in the fifth inning but the Lady Eagles followed it up with three runs in the bottom of the inning on a hit by Rachel Howard and 2-run double by Shields to finish the game in five innings.
Shields led CFS at the plate with a single, two doubles and three RBI’s. Maddie Ortt got the win on the mound in five innings, allowing six hits, four runs and struck out three.

The Lady Eagles led Carlisle County 1-0 early in the first inning on Wednesday, scoring on a single by Ortt, but the Lady Comets scored two runs in the bottom of the second inning to go up by one. CFS evened the game in the top of the third on a 1-run single by Jackson then took the lead in the top of the fourth on a 2-run double by Little to lead 4-2.
Carlisle County added a run in the fifth and two in the sixth for the 7-4 win to advance in the tournament to the championship game, winning 10-0 over Murray.
Edie Little and Jaycie Jackson earned All “A” Tournament Team honors.

Tilghman amassed a 13-0 lead over CFS on Thursday after four innings before the Lady Eagles put a run on the board in the fifth inning, scoring Little on an error by the catcher.
Tilghman’s big hitters were Mallory Myers who went 3 for 4 with three RBI’s, Serenity McCoy 2 for 3 with a triple and three RBI’s, Ally Hutchins 3 for 3 with a triple and RBI and Jada Knox who went 2 for 3 with a double and RBI. Little led CFS with a double and RBI and Jackson with two singles.
