The delegates were Callie Tipton, Sarah Miller, Madalyn Famer, Baella Morgan, Olivia Miller, Anna Dittman, Larissa Holt, Gabe Driskill. Lena Mallory, Marshall County 4-H Agent, also attended as well as Courtney Taylor, Marshall County 4-H Program Assistant.

Over 200 youth participated in the second of three 2018 Kentucky 4-H Summit sessions held at the Lake Cumberland 4-H Educational Center in Jabez. The summit is designed for middle school youth to strengthen their leadership and communication skills while meeting others from across the state. The participants also learn more about the opportunities available to them as teens in the Kentucky 4-H program.

The delegates participated in workshops and fun shops, and team-building activities. Workshops and fun shops offered included team building, various craft classes, cooking, gaga ball, running/walking a 4K, and much more. Marshall County’s 4-H Agent, Lena Mallory, and 4-H Program Assistant, Courtney Taylor taught a “Little Bits of Electric” workshop. Several of the delegates took that workshop as well as their others. The delegates were encouraged to take what they learned at the workshops and help 4-H leaders teach those activities in their respective counties.
