Christian Fellowship Coaches vs. Seniors game raised $2,100 for Marshall Strong fund

CFS Coaches Brian Grigg, Steve Cima and Cleve Cary battle with senior Zach Tracy for the ball.

Christian Fellowship held a Coaches vs. Seniors basketball game fundraiser Friday. An evening of fun and entertainment also raised over $2,100 for the Marshall Strong fund to benefit the victims of the Marshall County High School shooting. Marshall County students Aaron Reed and Devon Evans and Devon’s dad Brien Evans were honored guests at the game. Devon was a victim of the Jan. 23 shooting.

“This is what it’s all about, we pray for you daily and this school is here to support you any way we can”, CFS Head Coach Tyler Ryan said.

The game was close throughout with the seniors leading 21-17 at the end of the first quarter and holding on to a three point lead at halftime. The Senior team led by six at the end of the third quarter but a charging Coaches team tied the game at 71 at the end of regulation sending it into overtime where their momentum continued and they won 84-73.

CFS would like to thank several businesses that donated door prices which include Color of Light, Parcell’s Bakery, American Cookie Company and America’s Mattress.
