Two weeks later…#MARSHALLSTRONG

What began as a normal school day, two weeks ago today, quickly became an unimaginable horror for students and faculty of Marshall County High School and the Marshall County community. A day that has forever changed the lives of families in our community and a day that will never be forgotten as the school and community cope with a new reality.

Marshall County has felt the prayers and well wishes from across the state, nation and world in the aftermath of the Jan. 23 shooting tragedy where two students were killed and 19 injured. Comfort has come in the way of many forms, including messages from 1998 Heath High School victims and 1999 Columbine survivors, those that know all too well there are hard days, months and years to come.

Kentucky Education Commissioner, Steven Pruitt, asked Kentuckians to show support by wearing orange and blue last Friday and those images, along with many other expressions throughout the past two weeks, have brought much comfort to Marshall County.

From schools to basketball games, Graceland to Disney, the gallery below is just a small glimpse of the many #marshallstrong images that have lifted a hurting community over the past two weeks.
