Mrs. Ava Nell Schroader, age 94 of Benton, KY died on Tuesday, January 2, 2018, at Calvert City Convalescent Center in Calvert City, KY. She was a retired cafeteria cook for the Marshall County School System and was a member of Benton Church of Christ.
Born Wednesday, June 20, 1923 in Marshall County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Benny and Annie (Dowdy) Edwards.
Surviving are sons, Larry Schroader, wife Marlene of Benton, KY, Darry Schroader, wife Kathy of Ocala, FL and Mark Schroader, wife Susan of Cape Canaveral, FL, sister, Geneva Newton of Dallas, TX, and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters, 3 brothers, husband, Eunice Schroader, and daughters, Brenda Kaye Bandy and Palma Santoro.
A Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Collier Funeral Chapel located at 211 West 5th St. Benton, KY 42025 with Mark Ray officiating.
Visitation will be held between the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Collier Funeral Home.
Private interment will be held in the Edwards Cemetery, Benton, KY.
