Two area residents are facing charges after police say they were caught driving under the influence.
According to Marshall County Sheriff’s Office, about 8:20 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 19, deputies responded to Ky. Highway 408 on a report of a possibly impaired driver. Deputies reportedly located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. Further investigation revealed the driver, Mandy F. Bobo, 38, of Benton, was allegedly intoxicated.
Bobo was arrested and charged on suspicion of DUI.
In a separate incident later that night, deputies responded to a non-injury crash about 9:55 p.m. on U.S. Hwy. 641. Further investigation at the scene indicated that the driver, Maria Cook, 19, of Murray was allegedly under the influence at the time. Cook also reportedly had marijuana in her possession.
Cook was arrested charged on suspicion of DUI and possession of marijuana.
