MCSO responds to 479 calls for service, serves warrants

Marshall County Sheriff’s report, Dec. 18, 2017:

A local man and juvenile are facing charges after police say they were caught with marijuana during the weekend.

According to the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office, deputies on Saturday, Dec. 16 were patrolling the area near the lot behind Five Star and Hardee’s in Draffenville, after having received several complaints of ongoing illegal activity. Deputy Chris Greenfield observed three men sitting in a truck in the lot and pulled in to check on the occupants. Further investigation resulted in charges. Ryan Cole Hollis, 25, of Calvert City was charged on suspicion of possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and loitering and cited to appear in Marshall County District Court.

A 17-year-old juvenile was also charged with possession of marijuana, posession of drug paraphernalia and loitering, as well as possession of an open alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle, person under 18 possessing or attempting to purchase or have another purchase alcohol.

Deputy Beth Street at 11:24 a.m. Dec. 14, arrested Kevin Blake Reed of Benton on a Marshall County bench warrant.

Deputy Luke Rudd at 10:10 p.m. Dec. 16 arrested Dustin L. Croley, 35, of Benton on bench warrants from Marshall and McCracken counties and criminal summonses in Marshall and McCracken counties.

Deputy Cory Curtner at 12:12 p.m. Dec. 16 arrested Roger Myers, 51, of Benton on a Livingston Circuit warrant for Contempt of Court / Failure to Pay on an original charge of Flagrant Non Support.

Deputy Dennis Lewis at 9:07 p.m. Dec. 15 served a bond revocation by arresting Mindy Diane Cone of Benton.
