Jennifer Wheatley has joined the staff of the Friends of Land Between the Lakes as director of outreach and sustainability. The position will focus on “fundraising and sharing the impact of the work of the Friends of Land Between the Lakes, according to Friends Executive Director John Rufli.
Wheatley has previously worked in Communications at Land Between the Lakes and as the executive director of the Paris-Henry County, Tennessee, Chamber of Commerce. She has served on the Board of Trustees for the Friends group for over 10 years, including a term as chairperson.
“Land Between the Lakes welcomes 1.7 million visitors annually,” Wheatley said. “The Friends provide interpretation, information services and volunteer opportunities, enhancing visitor experiences and contributing to the economic impact of this facility. It is exciting to share these stories and let people know how they can become a part of our organization.”
