Keldon Johnson, Bol Bol and Jordan Brown impress at Friday’s Hoopfest

Oak Hill’s Keldon Johnson who has committed to Kentucky, scored 16 points in the Warriors 84-63 win over Hamilton Heights Christian.

Friday evenings Hoopfest session featured five games starting with fan favorite Oak Hill Academy, VA against Hamilton Heights Christian, TN. Once again, Oak Hill Academy is loaded with talented players led by Kentucky commit Keldon Johnson who ended the game with 16 points and seven rebounds.

Oak Hill won 84-63 led by Florida commit Keyontae Johnson with 24 points, earning the senior MVP honors. David McCormick who has committed to Kansas, scored 20 for the Warriors and led with eight rebounds. Hamilton Heights had four players in double figures led by 7’1″ Cleveland State commit, Uros Plavsic, with 16 points and eight rebounds.

Findley Prep’s Bol Bol, son of former NBA player Manute Bol, scored 20 points in their 67-48 win over Orangeville Prep.

Findley Prep, NV beat Orangeville Prep, Canada is the second game of the night behind 20 points from Bol Bol, an Oregon commit and son of former NBA player Manute Bol. Findley Prep’s Conner Vanover, a Memphis commit added 12 points to the win. Michigan commit, Ignas Brazdeikis, led Orangeville Prep with 28 points and 12 rebounds.

Findley Prep led 33-22 at halftime, then ran away from Orangeville Prep in the third quarter, out-scoring them 23-11, for a 56-33 lead.

Prolific Prep’s Jordan Brown, earned MVP honors with 30 points and 11 rebounds in the 77-71 win over Tennessee Prep.

Prolific Prep, CA beat Tennessee Prep, TN 77-71 in game three. Prolific Prep was led by Jordan Brown with 30 points and 11 rebounds and was 12 of 16 from the free throw line. Brown is currently entertaining offers from several schools including Gonzaga, Oregon and UCLA. Tyrese Patterson led Tennessee Prep with 24 points and Antavion Collum with 21 points.

Prolific Prep led by two points at the end of the first quarter and jumped out to a 40-29 lead at halftime. Tennessee Prep scored 24 fourth quarter points to close the gap before falling by six at the final buzzer.

Hillcrest Prep defeated Victory Rock Prep 82-77 in the final game of the evening. Kyree Walker who has committed to Arizona led with 27 points and was 15 of 18 at the free throw line. Demarius Jacobs added 19 points for Hillcrest Prep and was a perfect 13 of 13 in free throws. Madut Akec led Victory Rock with 26 points and also had a good night at the line making 15 of 17 attempts. Hillcrest Prep sophomore, Jeron Artest, son of former NBA player Metta World Peace, scored five points.
