Our Angel, Alexandra “Lexie” Denise McCarty, age 26, of Tucson, Ariz., earned her wings on Nov. 2, 2017, at Banner University Hospital in Tucson, Ariz.
This courageous, beautiful, young woman is survived by her fiancé, Samael Kelly; her mother and father, Paula and David Dennison; her father Alex McCarty; her brother and sisters, Daniel McCarty, Lydia Schnitzer, Aubri Dennison and Tyler Dennison; a niece, Jamie McCarty; her grandparents, Linda Vasseur Woodward and “Woody” Woodward; grandfather, Paul Darnell and grandmother, Juanita Smith and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and wonderful friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Joseph Armiger and Alexander McCarty II and grandparents Walter and Vivienne Dennison; great-grandparents, Roy and Lexie Vasseur and Chester and Evelyn Darnell.
This inspirational and strong student, artist, poet and animal lover was born, Aug. 8, 1991, in Scottsdale, Ariz. She lived 22 years in Benton, where she graduated from Marshall County High School and attended Western KY Technical School.
Lexie spent the last four years in Arizona and truly lived every moment of her incredible life. “Breathe Easy” our sweet girl.
Lexie’s life will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017, in the chapel of the Collier Funeral Home, Benton. Friends may visit with the family between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the Collier Funeral Home. Procession to follow the service to Lakeview Cemetery.
