Sheriff’s deputies make theft, drug arrests

Marshall County Sheriff’s report, Nov. 13, 2017:

Deputy Jason Ivey on Nov. 8 investigated an injury crash on KY 348. A vehicle driven by Wyatt L. McCormick of Desoto, Ill., was westbound on KY 348 when the right side wheels dropped of of the right shoulder. McCormick lost control, overturned, and came to rest on its right side.

Deputy Jason Ivey at 6:35 a.m. Nov. 8 investigated an injury crash on KY 58 west of Benton. According to the report, a vehicle driven by Daniel Carrico of Mayfield met an unknown vehicle that was close to or over the center line. Carrico swerved to avoid impact and lost control. The vehicle struck a culvert.

Deputy Dan Melone on Nov. 9 arrested and served a bond revocation out of Graves County for bail jumping on Stacey M. Carrigan, 41, of Gilbertsville. Carrigan was lodged in the Marshall County Detention Center.

Deputy Luke Rudd on Nov. 11 was dispatched to a single vehicle in a ditch on Griggstown Road. Upon arrival, Rudd observed a white PT Cruiser stuck in the ditch. The operator of the vehicle advised he had missed the driveway. When asked to see his license, registration and insurance the subject advised it was his boss’ vehicle and he did not know where the information was located. When asked to see his license the subject advised he did not have one with him. Rudd ran his social security number out of dispatch and was notified that the subject had two active bench warrants out of McCracken County. David McCulloch, 50, of Paducah, was placed under arrest for the two probation violation warrants out of McCracken and additionally charged with driving on a DUI suspended license first Offense, failure to produce insurance, license to be in possession and no registration plates. McCulloch was lodged in the Marshall County Detention Center.

Sgt. Tim Reynolds on Nov. 11 was conducting extra patrol behind the Hardee’s in Draffenville per the business request. Upon driving up on a row of cars, Reynolds observed a strong odor of marijuana come from a vehicle. Upon contact, the individual was sitting in the driver’s seat and he had admitted to smoking marijuana earlier. The subject provided two bags of marijuana and upon search an additional marijuana grinder was located. Stoney B. Hendrickson, 23, of Benton, was cited to court for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Deputy William Strader on Nov. 12 served a warrant of arrest out of McCracken County for theft by unlawful taking under $500 on Bobby J. Whitis, 45, of Gilbertsville.

Deputy Chris Glenn on Nov. 12 located a Scott W. Lamberger, 50, of Fulton, on Park Street in Gilbertsville that had an active Parole Board Warrant out of Fulton County. Lamberger was placed under arrest and lodged in the Marshall County Detention Center.

For the week of Nov. 6-13, the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office responded to the following: 27 Traffic Accidents, 10 Traffic Stops, 10 Motorist Assists, two Reckless Drivers, two DUI’s, 116 Extra Patrol requests, five Animal Complaints, one Assault, 13 Burglary/Theft reports, five Disturbances, six Domestic Disturbances, eight Complaints, 16 Have a Deputy Call, 13 Investigations, two Drug Investigations, nine Suspicious People, seven Suspicious Vehicles, 13 Warrants attempted, 24 Civils attempted, five Welfare Checks contributing to 394 calls to service.

For the week of Nov. 6-10 the Marshall County Court Security attended nine court sessions, 14 inmates moved to and from court, 1,586 people checked into the Judicial Building, 10 transports out of county and 39 vehicle inspections.
