On Saturday, Oct. 28 Deputy Josh Anderson was dispatched to the Purchase Parkway near exit 52 in reference to a subject trying to flag people down. Upon arrival Deputy Anderson made contact with the subject standing in the middle of the Purchase Parkway trying to flag him down.The subject was covered in mud and stated he had been in an accident and his vehicle was somewhere across the median. Upon contact with the subject, Deputy Anderson observed a strong odor of alcohol present. Tyler L. Dennison-Swisse, 24, of Paducah, was arrested and charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence.
At 9:44 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28 Deputy Chris Greenfield was sitting stationary at the old South Marshall Middle School on Murray Highway. Deputy Greenfield observed an ATV on the roadway that turned down a road and disappeared for a short period. The ATV was then heard further down Murray Highway and when Deputy Greenfield made contact the ATV again and the lights were out and he could not see where the ATV had left the roadway so he sat stationary at Benton Church of Christ. He heard the ATV again and saw him take off heading towards Benton. The ATV finally went down a dead end road and could not get out and was placed under arrest at that time. John O. York, 24, of Paducah, was charged with Fleeing or Evading Police 1st Degree, Operating ATV on Roadway, Operating ATV on Property without consent, Failure of Owner to Maintain Required Insurance and Failure to Illuminate Head Lamps.
On Friday, Oct. 27 Deputy Dan Melone responded to Big Bear Highway in reference to a subject trespassing on property previously by Sgt. Jason Lane. Upon Deputy Melone’s arrival the subject was present on the property and was refusing to leave. Nickolas P. Stroud, 22, of Murray, was placed under arrest and charged with Criminal Trespassing 1st Degree.
