A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is continuing a roving night work caravan to replace and repair center line raised reflector lenses along highways across the region.
This night moving work caravan will be on the road between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m., nightly for a couple of weeks anytime weather permits.
TONIGHT the contractor plans to have two crews working along the following highways:
* Interstate 24 in McCracken County from the 3.3 mm to 17.3mm-Eastbound & Westbound
* Interstate 24 in Marshall County Westbound only 22mm to 17.3mm
* Interstate 24 in Livingston County Westbound only from 29.3mm to 33mm
Weather permitting, these night work caravans will be active along highways in McCracken County and Livingston County the remainder of week, possibly into the weekend.
These crews plan to then move to Interstate 24 through Lyon County and Trigg County.
Motorists should use extra caution whenever they enconter this moving work caravan during overnight hours. Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and maintenance personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
Again, this roving night work zone will eventually move to other counties across the region. We will attempt to provide timely notice of county and highway locations as often as possible.
