MCEC brings in more than $81,000 during Exceptional Sunday

The Marshall County Exceptional Center hosted its annual open house “Exceptional Sunday” event. The center, which gets about 70 percent of its operating budget on donations, raised more than $81,000 the day of the event. The Marshall County Elks Lodge donated $35,000 to the nonprofit. Final totals were not available as of Sunday evening.

Exceptional Sunday allows community members to come view facilities, enjoy refreshments and entertainment provided by individuals the center serves. MCEC provides services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. For more information, visit www.m-c-e-c.org.
