Mr. Henry E. Darnall, 85, of Benton, died on Thursday, Sept. 14, 2017, at Lake Way Nursing & Rehabilitation in Benton. He was a member of Walnut Street Baptist Church and a retired custodian for the Marshall County Courthouse. He was a veteran of the US Army during the Korean Conflict.
Born Sunday, Oct. 4, 1931, in Benton, he was the son of the late Henry Floyd Darnall and the late Gusta (Blagg) Darnall.
Surviving are sons, Larry Darnall and Mickey Darnall, both of Benton; daughter, Vicki Schwegman of Benton; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley (West) Darnall, and sisters, Margaret York, Betty Neslon, and Martha Free.
A Funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 16, 2017, at Collier Funeral Chapel located at 211 West 5th St. Benton, KY 42025, Rev. Joel Frizzell and Rev. Mike Littrell officiating.
Burial with military rites will follow in the Haymes Cemetery in Benton.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 16, 2017, at Collier Funeral Home.
