

McCracken County deputies are investigating a series of thefts from vehicles in west McCracken County, which have led them to suspects from Calvert City and Paducah.
According to a McCracken County Sheriff’s Office release, police have arrested Brooklynn Jessup, 19, of Calvert City, and Brady Arnett, 21, of Paducah, in connection to the thefts. Police say deputies followed leads in the course of the investigation on Saturday, Sept. 9 to U.S. Highway 60 near Maxon Road. Jessup and Arnett were discovered in a vehicle parked behind a vacant residence, at that location, according to the release.
Deputies allegedly found items that had reported stolen in plain sight within the car upon arrival. According to MCSO, items recovered from the scene included electronics, wallets, money and five handguns.
Jessup was charged with receiving stolen firearms, receiving stolen property under $10,000, theft of a controlled substance, theft by unlawful taking (content from vehicle) over $500 but under $10,000 and theft of a firearm.
Arnett was charged with receiving stolen firearms, receiving stolen property under $10,000, possession of marijuana, possession of open alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle, first-degree possession of a controlled substance, theft by unlawful taking (content from vehicle) over $500 but under $10,000 and theft of a firearm.
Both were taken to the McCracken County Jail.
The investigation remains ongoing.
