A Marshall County man was killed Thursday afternoon in Ballard County after police say his vehicle left the road and overturned.
Ballard County Sheriff Kerry Batts said a local man, identified as Jason Leidecker, 35, of Benton, was driving east on Ky. Highway 286 about 3:30 p.m. Thursday when his 2004 GMC Sierra left the right edge of the roadway near Kevil. Leidecker lost control of the vehicle as he returned to the roadway, Batts said, dropping back off the right side once more. The truck overturned as it came to a rest.
Leidecker was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, Batts said.
The Ballard County Coroner’s Office pronounced Leidecker dead at the scene.
