A Paducah woman was arrested and charged after police say she crashed an ATV while under the influence.
According to Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, deputies responded to an injury ATV accident Friday on Shar-Cal Road. Police say the driver, Brittany Nicole Cooper, of Paducah, told responders she had been driving the vehicle and left the roadway as she approached a right turn. The ATV reportedly crashed into a ditch.
A passenger on the ATV, Edmundo Aviles, was taken to a local hospital for treatment by EMS as a result of the crash.
Cooper was arrested and charged on suspicion of DUI, operating an ATV on the roadway and operating on a suspended or revoked license. She was taken to the Marshall County Detention Center.
