


Kentucky State Police Post 1 welcomes three new supervisors. Lt. Brian C. Duvall, Sgt. Joseph M. Zalone and Sgt. Jeffrey W. McWhorter begin their new assignments at KSP Post 1 on Wednesday, Aug. 16.
Lieutenant Brian C. Duvall is a resident of Murray. He was a cadet at the KSP Academy, from which he graduated in August 2002. Duvall served as a trooper at the post until October 2014, when he was promoted to sergeant and moved to KSP Post 2. He returned to Post 1 in June 2015. He again went up in the ranks when he was promoted to lieutenant in January. He has been serving in that capacity at KSP Post 2 since that time.
Sergeant Joseph M. Zalone is a resident of Mount Sterling. He graduated from the KSP Academy in September 2010. Zalone has served as a trooper at KSP Post 8 since he completed the academy but was this month promoted to sergeant. He will begin his tenure today at Post 1.
Sergeant Jeffrey W. McWhorter is a resident of Campton. He graduated from KSP Academy in June 2001 and served as a trooper until March 2015 at Post 2. McWhorter then moved on to KSP Post 13, where he continued service as a trooper until he was promoted to sergeant this month.
Duvall will serve as operations lieutenant for KSP Post 1 in Hickory. Zalone and McWhorter will both be relocating to the western Kentucky area and will serve as squad sergeants at Post 1.
