Juveniles charged in trespassing at Sharpe Elementary

Two juveniles are facing charges after police say they walked into Sharpe Elementary School overnight.

According to Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, deputies responded about 12:27 a.m. Wednesday to an alarm raised at Sharpe Elementary where they discovered two juveniles on the premises. Further investigation reportedly revealed that the two had entered the school, setting off the alarm.

One of the juveniles was allegedly intoxicated and had ridden a motorcycle up to the school, according to MCSD. The minor was detained at the scene and charged with DUI, first offense. Additional charges of second-degree trespassing and possession of alcohol are pending, police say.
