Marshall County Rescue Squad personnel and divers assisted in the recovery of a car Saturday from Clarks River in McCracken County.
Emergency Management Director and Rescue Squad volunteer Curt Curtner said a woman reported to McCracken County responders that she had parked her car late Thursday to fish from a boat ramp on the Clarks River near Paducah’s south side, when the vehicle rolled into the river. No injuries were reported.
Crews waited until early Saturday to recover the vehicle to ensure enough dive team members were available to assist. Divers used airbags to raise the vehicle to the surface, where boats towed it into shore for a wrecker to remove. According to the Rescue Squad, divers also located a truck and a boat under water during the effort.
