LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) — Kentucky’s attorney general says training sessions are planned statewide in an effort to prevent child sexual abuse.
Attorney General Andy Beshear says the 22 training sessions will assist day cares, summer camps, churches and other youth-serving organizations. He says the goal is implement an action plan aimed at strengthening policies to safeguard children from sexual abuse.
The Kentucky Association of Children’s Advocacy Centers will work with Beshear’s team to host trainings at advocacy centers across the state.
The training sessions are set to begin this fall.
Last year, there were statewide training sessions for law enforcement, prosecutors, social workers, community advocates and others on how to protect children from predators.
