A Hardin woman is recovering after rescuers had to extricate her from the wreckage of her car.
According to Calloway County Sheriff’s Office, Maegan Muzo, 31, of Hardin was driving south about 1:30 p.m. Thursday on U.S. Highway 641 when a vehicle swerved into her lane. Muzo’s car dropped off the left shoulder, and she overcorrected and lost control. She traveled back across the southbound lanes and off the west side of the highway.
The vehicle traveled down an embankment and overturned. Muso was trapped inside the vehicle.
Rescuers used “mechanical means” to remove Muso from the vehicle. She was taken to Murray-Calloway County Hospital for treatment of injuries not deemed life-threatening.
The Calloway County Sheriff’s Office, Murray-Calloway County Hospital Ambulance Service and the Calloway County Fire and Rescue all responded to the scene.
