A Marshall County woman has been charged on a second DUI offense, after she was involved in a single-car crash yesterday.
According to the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, deputies responded to a single-car crash Thursday on Olive Creek Road. Investigators say Shelby Paige Gotto, 24, of Benton, was traveling the road when the vehicle she was driving crossed into the oncoming lane. Gotto reportedly overcorrected, rolling the vehicle several times.
Further investigation revealed that Gotto was allegedly drinking alcohol.
Gotto, who was taken to the hospital for injuries suffered in the crash, was cited on suspicion of aggravated DUI, second offense.
She was scheduled to appear next month in Marshall County District Court.
