A Dexter man escaped life-threatening injury Friday, despite having been pinned beneath the car that rear-ended him.
According to Calloway County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched about 1:40 p.m. Friday to the 4700 block of KY Highway 80 East in reference to a collision involving entrapment. Police say Adam Duncan, 35, of Dexter, was driving a tractor pulling a grain trailer when Dawn Oneill, 48, of Hardin struck the vehicle from behind in her car. The impact ejected Duncan from the tractor and trapped him underneath the car that struck him.
Emergency medical personnel removed the car from Duncan “by mechanical means,” according to CCSO statements. He was taken to Murray-Calloway County Hospital and treated for injuries not considered life-threatening.
The incident remains under investigation.
Calloway County Fire Rescue and Murray Calloway County Hospital Ambulance Service assisted onscene.
