On May 28th, Deputy Chris Greenfield was waived down by a citizen who reported two people that believed to be drunk fighting in the street on East 14th Street. A second person flagged down Deputy Greenfield and reported the same. Deputy Greenfield found the suspects in the 300 block of East 14th Street. After his investigation he arrested both people and charged them as follows:
Karen Dowdy age 56 of Benton –
Alcohol Intoxication in a Public Place
Disorderly Conduct 2nd Degree
Drinking Alcoholic Beverages in Public Place
Evan Fransisco Marshall age 35 of Mayfield –
Alcohol Intoxication in a Public Place
Disorderly Conduct 2nd Degree
Possession of Marijuana
Drug Paraphernalia – Buy / Possess
Giving Officer False Identifying Information
Both were lodged in the Marshall County Detention Center.
On May 28th, Deputies and City Officers responded to a disturbance on Boone Road. SGT. Jason Lane, Deputy Josh Anderson CCPD Captain Robert West, CCPD Jeff Peck, and BPD Officer Steve Robinson responded. While at the scene it was discovered that warrants existed for some at the scene. Amber S. McClure age 28 of Hardin was arrested and served warrants for Probation Violation. Shannon D. McClure age 30 of Paducah was arrested and served warrants for Probation Violation and Failure to Appear from Marshall County and Fleeing or Evading Police in McCracken County.
On May 28th, at approximately 11:56pm, Deputy Chris Greenfield was dispatched to Little Bear Highway in reference to a possible DUI driver. Deputy Greenfield found the vehicle just after it was parked at a residence on Little Bear Highway. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Wendy Baker on the following charges:
Operating a Motor Vehicle U/Influence ALC/Drugs/Etc .08 ( Aggravating Circumstances 2nd Offense
and No Operators License
On May 28th at approximately 10:17am, Deputy William Strader investigated a theft. Chasity A. Carnes of Paducah reports the theft at a residence at which she works on Gatlin Road in Marshall County. She reports the theft of purse and contents valued at over $300. The investigation is continuing.
On May 26th, SGT. Jason Lane was dispatched to a disturbance. Deputies Greenfield, Rudd, and Anderson were dispatched to assist. While at the residence of the disturbance, officers noticed several items of drugs or drug paraphernalia. Amanda M Curtis age 36 of Hardin was charged with Possession of Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia – Buy / Poss. She was cited to appear.
On May 26th, Deputy Luke Rudd responded to a theft report on Hawkeye Road. According to his report, Carl T. Park Jr of Benton reports that someone took parts from an AC unit at a house owned by him there. The investigation is continuing.
On May 27th at approximately 1:38pm, Deputy Cory Curtner was dispatched to what was believed to be a traffic accident. Upon arrival, the driver, Lendie Coomer age 34 of Gilbertsville, reported that it was not a traffic crash but just a mechanical failure. Further investigation revealed to Deputy Curtner that an active bench warrant was on file on Coomer. She was lodged in the Marshall County Detention Center.
On May 26th at 4:00pm, Deputy Chris Greenfield was dispatched to 77 Stark Cemetery Road in reference to a theft. Billy Puckett reports that the following items were taken from his home.
