
Deputy Cory Curtner at 5:30 p.m. May 16 was in the Possum Trot area looking for a woman in order to serve an arrest warrant.
The woman, identified as April Novetske, 42 of Calvert City, had heard that Curtner had was looking for her and pulled up near him in a parking lot. Curtner served the warrant charging her with first-degree trafficking in controlled substance first offense (fewer than 2 grams methamphetamine) as well as possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
As a result of the investigation upon service of the warrant, Novetske was charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (meth) and drug paraphernalia, according to the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department.

Sgt. Eddie McGuire at 9:45 p.m. May 16 responded to a disturbance and the Hilldale Apartments in Hardin.
A woman identified as Shelby Gotto, 23, of Hardin, was manifestly under the influence and had thrown up from upstairs on to the door step of the apartment below, according to police reports.
Gotto was allegedly yelling and cursing, and had in her care two young children. She was arrested and charged with endangering the welfare of a minor and alcohol intoxication.
Gotto was lodged in the Marshall County Detention Center.
