Marshall County Football hosted 7 on 7, lineman challenge Saturday

Kameron Bowerman picked up some yardage for the Marshall County 7th grade team in Saturday’s 7 on 7 tournament.

BENTON – Marshall County Football hosted fifteen 6th, 7th and 8th grade teams Saturday for a 7 on 7 tournament and lineman challenge. Two divisions competed – 6th and 7th grade players in the middle school division and 8th grade players in the freshman division.

Marshall County’s 7th grade won their 7 on 7 tournament by defeating the Marshall County 6th grade team and the Memphis Bears. McCracken County won the middle school lineman challenge. Christian County won the freshman 7 on 7 tournament by defeating Marshall County in the championship game and Graves County won the freshman lineman challenge.

“All three of our teams competed well and gained a lot of experience in the tournament”, Marshals Head Coach Evan Merrick said. “We plan to hold the tournament again next spring.”
