Christian Fellowship competes in track and field meets

DRAFFENVILLE – Christian Fellowship School is fielding a small team of track and field athletes this spring who have competed in a couple of meets, including Marshall County’s meet on May 2nd and a meet at Murray High on April 25th.

In the four-team meet at Murray, the Eagles top results came from Richy Phillips who took third in the shot put with a throw of 36-00 and sixth in the discus with a distance of 89-00. Also competing in the discus at Murray was Jonathon Rich placing 13th with 51-11 and Isaac Hovekamp in 15th with 36-00.

This past week in a meet hosted by Marshall County, Phillips took 13th in the discus with 91-06 and 10th in shot put with 37-08. Hovekamp placed 26th in the discus with a throw of 51-11. In running events, Jordan Haley placed 14th in the 1600 meters with a time of 5:34.87 and 17th in the 800 meters in 2:28.98. Boaz Burnett placed 21st in both the 800 and 1600 meters with times of 2:39.98 and 5:58.04.
