Janette J. Sirls, 68, of Benton died on Monday, April 24, 2017, at Murray-Calloway County Hospital in Murray.
She was an accountant for Kenlake State Resort Park where she worked for 21 years. Born Tuesday, October 19, 1948, in Hardin, she was the daughter of the late Elvie “Buck” Jones and the late Ruby (Holland) Jones.
She is survived by her husband, Larry Sirls of Benton; sons, Jack Sirls of Murray and Jesse Sirls (wife Dawn) of Hardin; daughters, Ginger Russell (husband Jeff) of Hardin, and Janie Pogue (husband Keith) of Benton; sister, Judy Johnston-Breedlove of Murray; nine grandchildren, Ashley Russell, Aaron Russell (wife Ally) Austin Russell, Emily Nesler, Elisha Pogue, Brody Pogue, Tyler Sirls, Trent Sirls and Elyse Taylor; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, James T. “Jimmy” Jones.
A Memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 27, 2017, in the chapel of the Collier Funeral Home with her son-in-law Jeff Russell officiating. Visitation will be held between the hours of 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th St. Benton, KY 42025.
