Calvert-Sharpe Family Resource Center hosts annual ‘Fancy Nancy’ tea party

The Calvert-Sharpe Family Resource Center recently hosted its annual “Fancy Nancy Tea Party” for children and their mothers.

Organizers Crystal Byers, Wava Hall and Shelley Brien decorate the school and host the event, in which girls move from room to room learning proper etiquette. Participants are treated to an ice cream sundae bar and finger-food bar, and each child is given their own Barbie to keep, courtesy of the Calvert City Police Department. Fancy Nancy herself joins the party and reads to the girls from her books.
