Lady Marshals combine for 14 hits in win over Calloway

DRAFFENVILLE – An early four-run lead in the first inning set the Lady Marshals up for an 11-3 district win on 14 hits over Calloway County Thursday. The scoring began on an RBI double by Lexee Miller, RBI singles by Presley Jezik and Cayson Conner and a Calloway County error.

They added another run in the second inning on a double by Addie Young and two runs in the third inning on singles by Conner and Payton Smothers.

The Lady Marshals went up 10-0 in the fourth inning scoring three more runs on singles by Jezik and Aubree Jo Kemp and a sacrifice fly from Kinley Edwards.

The Lady Lakers extended the game by scoring three runs in the fifth inning on a fielder’s choice and an error. Young doubled in sixth to score Miller for the final run of the game. Kemp picked up the win on the mound, allowing five hits and one earned run.
