DRAFFENVILLE – A field of 17 girls teams and 19 boys teams competed in Marshall County’s Invitational of the South this past Saturday. The Murray girls took first, Tilghman second and Daviess County third for the top three spots and the Marshall County girls placed eighth. On the boy’s side, Tilghman took first, Daviess County second and Marshall County third.
Tilghman dominated the sprints taking first in the boy’s 100, 200 and 400 meters and for the girl’s, Tilghman sophomore Valesha Watson was a triple threat winning the 100, 200 and 400 meters. Garrett Fulgham posted the only first place finish for the Marshals, crossing the line first in the 800 meters.
The team will compete in the Racer Relays at Murray State this Saturday.
