Mrs. Audry Cross, age 95 of Benton, KY died Thursday, February 2, 2017, at Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah, KY. Born Sunday, December 25, 1921 in Marshall Co., KY, she was a member of Community Chapel Church and spent most of her
adult life farming along with her husband, Otis “Mooner” Cross, in the Griggstown and Scale communities. She also had worked at the M. Fine and Sons shirt factory in Paducah. She enjoyed the outdoors and spent many hours fishing with family members. When she couldn’t be outside she loved sewing, quilting and crocheting.
Mrs. Cross is survived by her daughter, Shirley Bragg Brazelton of Benton; one grandson, Terry Bragg and his wife, Janice of Benton; one granddaughter, Teresa Rice and her husband, Tim of Benton; and one great-grandson, Dylan Bragg of Benton; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Cross was preceded in death by her husband, Otis “Mooner” Cross, one brother Jewell Johnston; and two sisters, Charlene Cross and Reba Ford. Her parents were the late Acie and Lela (Bradley) Johnston.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 4, 2017 in the chapel of the Collier Funeral Home with Bro.Charlie Canup officiating. Burial will follow in Marshall Co. Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be held between the hours of 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 4, 2017, at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th St., Benton, Kentucky.
