DRAFFENVILLE – Kayla Travis signed on Wednesday to continue her soccer career at Murray State University. A four year starter on the Lady Marshals varsity soccer team, Kayla helped the Lady Marshals win the Region 1 Championship her freshman and sophomore years.

Kayla finished her high school career as the 5th leading scorer in school history with 70 goals and second all-time in assists with 38. She was selected to the All-District Team all four years as a Lady Marshal, All-Region 2nd Team her freshman season and All-Region 1st Team her sophomore, junior and senior seasons. She was also named to the All-State 2nd Team her sophomore, junior and senior years.

The Lady Racers Soccer team finished 2016 with an overall record of 8-5-4, ending their season with an overtime loss to SIUE in the semi-finals of the OVC Women’s Soccer Championship.
