Dance teams compete in Region 1 and 2 KDCO Competition

DRAFFENVILLE – Marshall County High School was host to the 2017 KDCO (Kentucky Dance Coaches Organization) Region 1 and 2 Dance Competition on Saturday. Thirteen high school and middle school teams competed in jazz, pom and hip hop categories, each doing two routines.

Marshall County and McCracken County were the only Region 1 teams in the competition. Marshall County took first place in both the high school large pom and high school large hip hop divisions. McCracken County won the high school small jazz and small pom divisions.

Grand Champion went to Hopkins County Central, Best of the Best Middle School was awarded to Henderson South Middle, Costume award went to Holy Name, Choreography award went to Hopkins County Central and Crowd Appeal to Henderson South Middle.
